Our Show
A Love Letter to the St. Louis Food Scene.
Join Danish American Chef Lasse Sorensen on a culinary and culture quest to find some of the best cuisine in St. Louis. Fueled by his love for authentic dishes, Sorensen spends time in some of the most popular places to eat in the city to learn more about the people and stories behind them. Along the way, he’ll pick up new tricks and new perspectives from the passionate cooks behind the kitchen, all the while experiencing the culture of those who call St. Louis their home – one dish at a time.
“Food is Love” aims to connect and educate viewers on the people and cultures of St. Louis through authentic, unique, and delicious food. We believe that food brings people together. By visiting some of the city’s top destinations, we hope to create a stronger sense of community and open hearts to new ideas, experiences and ways of life. In times of hardship, we believe that food is a great peacemaker.
The 13 episode series, hosted and narrated by Sorensen was written and produced by Jason Pinkston along with support from Executive Producer Julie Chen Moonves, a longstanding host of “Big Brother.” The first three episode aired in July, and the show will return to Nine PBS later this year.
